Kiva Dunes Golf & Beach Club Named Among Golfweek’s “America’s Best State by State”

GULF SHORES, ALABAMA – The Gulf Shores Golf Association (“GSGA”), with nine signature golf courses located adjacent to 32 miles of sugar-white-sand beaches, today announces that Kiva Dunes Golf & Beach Club (“Kiva Dunes”) – a GSGA member course – has garnered the distinguished status of being named to “Golfweek America’s Best State by State” list.

Kiva Dunes, designed by former U.S. Open Champion Jerry Pate, ranked as the No. 2 public-access course in Alabama. It is part of the multi-amenity resort that offers both private condominiums and rental lodging opportunities. Kiva Dunes was one of five courses in Alabama to earn distinction from Golfweek magazine, which today unveiled its “America’s Best Courses” special edition issue.

This is the latest accolade garnered by Kiva Dunes, which was named one of Golf Digest magazine’s “Top 75 Golf Resorts in America” (March 2002 issue).

While Golfweek annually has published its top-100 Classical and top-100 Modern courses lists, this is the first time it has included a comprehensive state-by-state list of the best public-access courses – resort and daily fee.
